Resurrect By Night

His nickname ‘‘B.A.N. B.A.N.’’aka Born at Night inherited his creative genes from his father, a painter who also introduced his son to the iconic punk and rock groups of the 70's and 80's. The artist and designer, was born on July of 1978 in New York City, East Village. Inspired by the romantic freedom- focused fashion of that era, Resurrect by Night clothing feature colorful, hand-painted contemporary designs that take on original punk, rock and biker culture. Other inspirations include Vivienne Isabel Westwood who is largely responsible for bringing modern punk and new wave fashion into the mainstream. Also, hand-made denim jackets with hand painted art on the back worn by latino and black street gangs of New York City. The designer was heavily inspired by biker gang custom leather and denim jackets of the early 70's and 80’s. After the dawning of the 1970’s, this heady mix of noisy, brash garage rock infused with the glam rock sensibilities coined by David Bowie and The New York Dolls, to name a couple, morphed into what we now consider to be punk rock.

New York City and good old London town were the main destinations of early 'punk', with The Ramones, Johnny Thunders and Blondie flying the flag in The Big Apple and The Sex Pistols, The Clash and Bromley's X-Ray Spex shaking up the scene in The Big Smoke. Like all the best subcultures, punk rock clothing covers a wide and varied spectrum. But, there is an overall aesthetic, and attitude that when worn well, is unmistakably punk or rock, no matter what hair or accessories you're sporting at any given time.

Resurrect by Night is a cool and unique unisex clothing brand located in New York. Founded by artist and designer, Daren Chambers. His art studio showroom is where he produces hand painted designs and re-purposes vintage clothing. Each garment is resurrected and painted to give an unique beauty for the collection. I want to create art which tells my story and experiences in this collection. The ultimate goal is combining “Art & Fashion” as a whole to make something new and different. We had the opportunity to release over 400 pieces for Barneys NY and Beverly Hills. Which led to a collaboration with Alpha Industries. Currently we are now in selective retailers in Japan.
